We do the mistake of relying on our own effort and connection to the detriment of God’s power and wisdom made available through his word and Holy Ghost. The bible said that by strength shall no man prevail. Egypt is known for depending on the multitude of their chariots and wealth which failed in the day God decided to punish them:

ISAIAH 31:1-3

(1)       “woe to those who go down to Egypt for assistance

            Who rely on horses, who trust in war chariots because

they are mighty

But they do not look to the Holy one of Israel

And they do not search for Jehovah

(2)       But he is also wise and will bring calamity

            And he will not take back his word

            He will rise up against house of evil doers,

            And against those who help wrong doers

(3)       Though Egyptians are mere men and not God:

            Their horses are flesh and not spirit.

            When Jehovah stretches out his hand

            Whoever offers help will stumble

            And whoever is helped will fall;

            They will perish at the same time”

Today, God is angry against trusting men for help. And God said because you have decided to trust men, that he will not only punish you that trust those men, that he will put confusion in those men you trust so that they cannot be able to help you. This is to show you that God is the finale solution to your problem as an upright before God:

ISAIAH 19:1-3

(1)       “A pronouncement against Egypt, Look! Jehovah

is riding on a swift cloud and is coming into Egypt

The worthless gods of Egypt will tremble before him

And the heart of Egypt will melt within it

(2)       I will incite Egyptians against Egyptians

            And they will fight one another

            Each against his brother and his neighbor

            City against City, Kingdom against Kindom

(3)       And the spirit of Egypt will become bewildered

            Within it

            And I will confuse its plans

            And they will resort to worthless gods;

            To charmers and to the spirit medium and

to the fortune tellers”

Cease from connections and begin to trust God who is able to save your soul. Remain blessed
