JEREMIAH 1:1-END

PROVERB 39:1-END

God is not happy when his own people he called to serve deviate from the main purpose to mingle with the worldly system. This is one of the things that trigger God’s anger. Imagine, when God called Jeremiah he gave him specific instruction that he should go and speak whatever he told him to speak and he should not be terrified of the people or else he (God) will terrify him:

JEREMIAH 1:13

(13)     “The word of Jehovah came to me a second time saying:

            “What do you see?” So I said: “I see a boiling pot, and

its mouth is tilted away from the north

(14)     Then, Jehovah said to me: “Out of the north calamity

            will break forth loose

            against all the inhabitants of the land

(15)     or I am summoning all the families of the Kingdoms of

            the north, declares Jehovah

            and they will come; each one will set up his throne at

            entrance of the gate of Jerusalem

            Against her walls all around and against all the cities

            Of Judah

(16)     And I will declare my judgments against them over all

            Their wickedness because they have abandoned me

            And they are making sacrificial smoke to other gods

            And bowing down to the works of their own hand

(17)     But you should prepare for action,

            And you must stand up and tell them everything

that I command

Do not be terrified of them, so that I do not terrify

You before them”

God is not happy when you associate with every dick and harry. Some will even come with gift to entice you, but you need to be wise as well as learn from biblical experience. Let’s use King Hezekiah as a case study, he was once sick and recovered from sickness, the King of Babylon named MERODACH BALADAN, the son of BALADAN sent letter and gift to King Hezekiah telling him that he heard he was sick and had recovered from his sickness. Hezekiah did not only welcomed his representatives but went to the extent to show them his treasure house to include the silver, the gold, the balsam oil and other precious oil, his whole armory and everything that was to be found in his treasuries. There was nothing that Hezekiah did not show them in his own house and in all his dominion. He exposed all his secrets to the strangers in a seconds and this made God got angry with King Hezekiah. God had to send Prophet Isaiah to go and warn him as well as tell him the punishment for that act.

ISAIAH 39:5

(5)       “Isaiah now said to Hezekiah “ Hear the word

            Of Jehovah of armies

(6)       Look! Days are coming and all that is in your

House and all that your fore father have stored

Up to this day will be carried off to Babylon.

Nothing will be left, says Jehovah”

This is to show you that you don’t welcome every dick and harry into your life’s secret. This man welcomed a fellow King’s representatives and began to expose his hidden treasures to them including his security and protective armories, it sounds stupid, not even at the strangers’ request but just to show off. And at the end of the day God showed him that he was not happy for that action he took. And his punishment was that God used the same Babylonian to collect those things he has; but that happened generation after as the prophet specified.

So as a child of God you need to limit your trust in men and association, and focus more on the assignment God has deposited in your hand to do, because in doing it as expected you and you generation will have peace.

I JOHN 2:15

(15)     “Do not love either the world or the things in the world

            If anyone loves the world, the love of the father is not

in him

(16)     Because everything in the world, the desire of the eyes

            And the showy display of one’s means of life – does not

            Originate from the father

(17)     Furthermore, the world is passing away and so its desire,

            But the one who does the will of God remains forever”

This is why you will not kill because of money. You will die and the money you make by ritual will vanish away. Another people will embezzle it while your soul is in torment for what you did wrong. So limit your association from today. Remain blessed
