ISAIAH 1:1-END

Life is full of obstacles; especially the dark places of the earth are filled with wickedness. It is wickedness of men that brings them to bondage, because of this; we need to trust absolutely in God so that we can overcome wickedness of the world. Some people trust men and that is the reason God is angry with them.  They are not wicked but they depend on wicked personalities for help.

ISAIAH 31:4

(1)       “Woe to those who go down to Egypt for assistance

            Who rely on horses; who trust in war chariot because

            they are numerous

            And in war horses because they are mighty; But they

            Do not look to the Holy one of Israel

            And they do not search for Jehovah

(2)       But he is also wise and will bring calamity. And he will

            not take back his words ; He will rise against evil doers

(3)       The Egyptians, though are mere men and not God;

            Their horses are flesh and not spirit

            When Jehovah stretches out his hand

            Whoever offers help will stumble

            And whoever is helped will fall

            They will all perish at the same time”

When you trust men rather than God, men will disgrace you but when you trust God, you will not see disgrace rather promotion, favor and deliverance will be your heritage. Just as we discussed King Hezekiah who welcomed King’s representatives, accepted their gift and committed him by trusting them with his wealth.

The same Hezekiah in today’s scripture reading was told that He will die, he did not had any option than to turn to God who is the creator of the whole universe that gave him the message through  Prophet Isaiah and reminds him of things to include reasons; he will not die. When He trusted God this way, God have to go ahead of him to stop the King that intended to war against Him:

ISAIAH 37:15

(15)     “And Hezekiah began to pray to Jehovah and say

(16)     O Jehovah of armies, sitting above the cherubs, the

God of Israel sitting enthroned  above, you alone

Are true God of all the Kingdom of the earth.

You made the heavens and the earth

(17)     Incline your ear, O Jehovah and heart! Open your eye

            O Jehovah and see!

            Hear all the words that  Sennacherib has sent to taunt

            The living God

(18)     It is a fact, O Jehovah, that the King of Assyrian have

            devastated all the land, as well as their own land

(19)     And they have thrown their gods into fire, because

            They were not god but the works of human hands,

            wood and stone

            That is why they could destroy them

(20)     But now, O Jehovah our God, save us out of his hand

            So that all kingdoms of the earth may know you alone are

            God, O Jehovah

(21)     Isaiah Son Amoz then sent this message “This is what

            Jehovah the God of Israel says because you prayed to

            Me concerning King Sennacherib of Assyrian”

(22)     this is the word that Jehovah had spoken against

            Him:

            “The virgin daughter of Zion despises you

            The daughter of Jerusalem shakes her head

            Against you”

Did God later deliver Him? Yes God later delivered Hezekiah from King Sennacherib of Assyrian whom he caused to hear a noise and, flee only to die by sword of his own son.

ISAIAH 37: 37-38

(37)     “So King Sennacherib of Assyrian  departed and

returned to Nineveh and stayed there

(38)     And as he was bowing down at the house of god

            Nisroch, , his own sons Addramelech

            And sharezer struck him down with sword and

Escaped to land of Ararat. And his son Esarharddon

Became King in his place”

That is the end of the wicked, then where is that his strength to deal with King Hezekiah? Look! God always has the final say in every battle of life. Trust God and correct men. Remained blessed.
