2 TIMOTHY 3: 1-14
Today the global radical increase of crime is not a
reckoning issue. A lot of things happens daily to show actually we are
approaching end of the world as specified in the above chapter quotation of
second timothy.
2 TIMOTHY 3:1
(1) “But know this, that in
the last days critical times
hard to deal will be
here.
(2) For men will be lovers
of themselves, lovers of
Money, boastful,
haughty, blasphemers,
disobedient to parents,
unthankful, disloyal
(3) Having no natural
affection, not open to any
Agreement, slanderers, without
self control,
Fierce, without love of goodness
(4) Betrayers, headstrong,
puffed up with pride,
Lovers of pleasure
rather than lovers of God.
(5) Having an appearance of
goodness but proving
False to its power;
and from these turn away”
We have experienced recently events that took place because
of love for money. People engage in several vices because of love for money.
And these vices like Human trafficking, prostitution, drug addiction, drug
pushers etc. have caused more harm than good in the society. The harm these
vices has caused in the society are still fresh wound to the society affected
who are seeking solution to curb this, as well as rescue the victims of the
circumstance.
Countless are the records of human trafficking in Europe and
America, more especially in Mexico and Paris. A lot of teenagers had been
turned into sexual machine to be used by white men to satisfy their urge and
dump them to suffer the after effect. This is why there is need for change in
our society. And there cannot be change until the church and leader of gospel
arise to the duty of revival. The worst is that these corrupt practices does
not end in their practices but also has gone as far as opposing the truth of
the gospel. Some of them have come up with “Church of Satan” in United State of America teaching heresies which
are not scriptural because the mind had been polluted and seared with iron.
2 TIMOTHY 3:6
(6) “From among these arise men who slyly
work their
Their way into households and
captivate weak
women loaded down sins, led by
various desires
(7) always learning and yet never able to
come to an
accurate knowledge of truth
(8) Now in the way that Jannes and Jambres
opposed
Moses, so these also go on opposing the truth.”
Such men are completely corrupted in mind,
Disapproved as regard the faith”
The Majority of these groups originate from the Jews; they are
good in opposing the gospel by establishing their own righteousness. And
remember whatever you oppose, you cannot have and whatever you respected you
will attract. Since this one has decided to oppose the truth, they can never
advance in life any more. The truth of the gospel will always attack and oppose
them before men.
2 TIMOTHY 3:9
(9) “Nevertheless, they will
make no further progress
For their folly will
be very plain to all, as it was with
Those men”
This is why it is not good to oppose the truth, especially
the gospel. For every truth you oppose, it truncates your destiny, for it will
continue to speak against the opposing destiny until it is straightened. This
is why many destinies folded up because of not telling or abiding by truth. The
truth sometimes is bitter to say, but when you say the truth destinies are
librated. You can’t hide the truth and make genuine progress in life and destiny.
When the truth is not said, God may not be involved.
This is why those that preached the gospel were persecuted for
saying the truth. You also may be persecuted for saying the truth today but
mind you, it is the route to your glorious land. Learn to say the truth and
become free.
2 TIMOTHY 3:12
(12) “In fact, all those desiring to live with
godly
Devotion in association with Christ;
(13) But wicked men and impostors will advance
from bad to worse, misleading
and being misled
