LISTEN TO YOUR JOAB

I CHRONICLE 21:1-13

If it had not been God who was on our side, our enemies would have swallowed us up as the psalmist specified “Man is limited, this is why it is better to fall into the hand of God than to be a victim of men. This is a very terrible state.

I CHRONICLE 21:13

(13)     “So David said to Gad: it is very distressing to me , please,
Let me fall into the hand of Jehovah, for his mercy is very
great ; but let me fall into the hand of men”

In the Jewish Law of Moses, every action has an instant Judgment and consequence. And as a result God is not happy when His people go contrary to his direction and instruction. God also knew that Satan accuses his people every moment; therefore, God does not relent in speaking his mind through his prophets in Jewish law. When Satan incited David to count Israel God tried to use Joab to stop the mission. But David could not enquire from God, to know if it was really God telling him or instructing him on that mission. A lot of us today are still doing that mistake. You cannot sit down to fast and pray to be able to hear from God concerning any mission or event you are planning to venture.

Because today Judgment are not instant as it was in the days of David, the heart of men has grown proud to do whatever they want and get away with it. Then, in the Jewish Law every offense receives instant punishment from God, but it is not like that today because of the blood of Jesus Christ speaking for mercy every moment from God. And Devil is powerless to accuse God’s children in God’s presence today as in the days of Job (JOB 1:6-12) because we overcame him by the blood of the lamb (Jesus) and the words of our testimony. So the devil cannot accuse the children of God any longer today.

I CHRONICLE 21:1
(21)     “Then Satan stood up against Israel and incited
            David to number Israel”

You can see how Satan stood at David’s right hand to give him instruction in the place of God and against the will of God. And David acted on the instruction and became a victim. And I prophesy anybody that will come in the name of the lord but an agent of darkness occupying office of a prophet in your life is disgraced today in Jesus name. Amen! God is still in the business of speaking by Holy Ghost; do not be deceived by seers and false prophets that come as angel of light deceiving many. Listen to Holy Ghost to know the right personalities. And to crown the issue:

MATHEW 7:16

(16)     “By their fruits you will recognize them.
Never do people gather grapes from
Thorns or figs from thistle, do they?

It is good to discern people that come to you critically through the fruit they bear. How do you know their fruits? By their words, you can judge their fruit because out of the abundant of the heart the mouth will speak. The mouth will utter the true expression of the heart through action and attitude.

LUKE 6:45
(6)       “A good man brings good out of the good
treasure of his heart, but a wicked man
brings what is wicked out of his wicked
treasure; for out of the heart’s abundance
            the mouth speaks”

And I pray that you will learn to discover and listen to every Joab that will counsel you the right way from evil decision this year Just as Joab counseled David and he rejected him because Joab was a servant to him. God can use your servant today as he tried to use Joab  to stop David because nobody is above mistake.

I CHRONICLE 21:3

(3)       “But Joab said: “ may Jehovah multiply people
100 times! My lord the King, are not all of them
already servants of my lord? Why does my lord
want to do this? Why should he become a cause
           of guilt to Israel?
But the King’ word prevailed over Joab.
So Joab went out and travelled through
-out Israel after which he came to
           Jerusalem”

The consequences of disobeying your Joab today can be terrible at last.
