MATHEW 14: 21-32
Your faith today is what will carry you through to another
level in Christ, life and ministry. What do you see with the eyes of your imagination?
That is all you can become.
MATHEW 14:30
(30) “But looking at the
windstorm he became afraid
And when he started to
sink, he cried out “lord
Save me!
(31) Immediately stretching
out his hand, Jesus caught
hold of him and said to him. “you
with little faith
why did you give way to doubt?”
You cannot amount to anything extra ordinary beyond what you
can see. Peter saw fear and began to sink. And I prophesy to you “your fear
will be intimidated today in Jesus name. That your great future is still
possible today, no power is able to swallow it because Jesus has finish all on
the cross of Calvary and handed dominion to you through His blood. By the power
in the name, blood and body of Christ you are librated from every bondage of
fear and shame this year in Jesus name. Amen
Jesus did not just started walking in on top of the water
ordinarily, he first of all separated himself to the mountain as eagle does
alone, he soaked himself in water which is the word of God and consumed oil
like eagle which is the symbol of anointing. He prayed down power and studied
the word of God and immediately it was 4th hour of the following
day, Jesus came down from the mountain with power and began to walk on the
surface of the sea water.
MATHEW 14:23
(23) “After sending the crowds
away, he
went up on the mountain by
himself
to pray. When evening came, he
was
there alone
VERSE 25-31
(25) But in the fourth watch
of the night he came
Walking on the sea”
(26) When they caught sight of
him walking on the sea
the disciples were
troubled, saying: “it is an
apparition!” And they cried out
in their fear
(27) But once Jesus spoke to
them, saying: “take
Courage! It is I; do
not be afraid”
(28) Peter answered him:
“Lord, if it is you,
Command me to come to
you over the waters
(29) He said: “Come!” so peter
got out of the
boat and walked over
the waters and went
towards Jesus
(30) But looking at the
windstorm, he became afraid.
and when he started to
sink, he cried out: “Lord
Save me!”
(31) Immediately stretching
out his hand, Jesus
Caught hold of him and
said to him: you with
Little faith, why did
you give way to doubt?”
The solution to that your little faith is prayer and word of
God, which is the essential need for your increase and growth in the Kingdom of
God. Your maturity in Christ is determined by your faith, your strength and
power as a Christian is the measured by your faith. Faith is the material that
propels change in your environment. This is why without faith, it is impossible
to please God. God can only sustain you by your faith. The consumption of the
word and prayer is to increase your faith as a Christian.
JOHN 3:5
(5) “Jesus answered: “most truly I say to
you, unless
anyone is born from water and spirit
he cannot
enter the kingdom of God”
The water there is the word of God and the spirit is the Holy
Ghost received by accepting Jesus as your personal Lord and savior.
ROMANS 10:9-10
(1)
“For if you publicly declare with your mouth
that Jesus is Lord, and exercise
faith in your
heart that God raised him up from the dead,
you will be saved
(2)
For with the heart one exercise faith for
righteousness
but with the mouth one makes public declaration for
salvation”
Once one make this open declaration out of the believe from
his heart, you automatically received the Holy Spirit. But salvation is
incomplete without baptism, even Jesus was baptized in River Jordan by John the
Baptism. The forerunner of Jesus Christ, John came to prepare the way for him.
ACTS 10:47
(47) “Can anyone deny water to
prevent these one
From being baptized
who have received the Holy Spirit
Just as we have”
And today you can take the same bold step on your own to
receive the same Jesus as your personal Lord and savior. By asking him to
forgive your sins and make you a new person in His Kingdom. This is the
beginning of your faith towards God.
