THE RELENTLESS PROSECUTING JEWS/ RISK TO FAITH

LUKE 19:1-12

JOHN 19:1-12

The Jews comprises the Pharisees and the Sadducees, these set of people crucified Jesus on the cross of Calvary.  They were simply Church leaders. But because Jesus had been crucified for your sake, these set of people are powerless towards your destiny because Jesus has finished it on the cross. And I prophesy, since Jesus cannot be crucified the second time, they cannot crucify you this year and forever in Jesus name. Amen. These calibers are good in reporting glorious/divine destinies to worldly powers to terminate their existence, they reported Jesus to Caesar and proceed to Pilate for approval even when Pilate did not approve their request (JOHN 19:12), they took the law into their own hands in agreement. They are friends to the world. And I prophesy ones more any evil agreement by these evil Jews against your destiny this year is nullified by the blood of Jesus Christ in Jesus name. They denied the power of righteousness.

2 TIMOTHY 3:5

“Having an appearance of godliness but proving false

To its power; and from these turn away”

It is your faith that overcomes the world, and God does nothing without the risk to prove your faith in his name. This is why faith without works is dead. It is your actions that qualify your faith towards God. For clear understanding, faith is synonymous to humility. A lot of us cannot take risk for God in certain issues; your love for God is determined by the risk you can afford for His name. No risk, no faith. You can be rich, but without drastically steps of risk towards your believe in Christ especially through giving, faith is never accomplished. And it is only faith that can divide the red sea of your destiny. The story of NAAMAN in the Holy Bible, he was a leper but stinking rich, his steps of faith towards the direction of a little house made was rewarded, it gave him solution to the healing of his leprosy which brought about changes in his life. Imagine NAAMAN, a noble king obeying a prophet to dip himself seven times in dirty water as directed by a prophet. That is faith and humility towards God, because he was not doing it in the name of a prophet but in the name of who God is to the world. And that is why he got his healing of leprosy. If it were today, some of us can never agree to those terms. Some will grow wings and puffed up, sighing and say “how can I deep myself in a dirty stinking water, before I gain healing?” look you don’t question God. This is why we are still marking time in the same position and with the same sickness. Look! Any step you take in the name of the Lord weather in knowledge or out of ignorant is highly rewarded. This is the centre for faith. And it takes humility to demonstrate faith.

Now having used the above illustration to expand on what faith look like let us consider the story of a man named Zacchaeus in the bible. He was rich but a very short man. And as a result, he wanted to see this man Jesus. Irrespective of his position and influence he climbed a tree because of Jesus. Imagine his action justified His faith.

LUKE 19:4

(4)       “So he ran ahead and climbed a syncamore tree

In order to see him, for he was about to pass that

Way.

(5)       Now when Jesus got to the place, he looked

up and said to him: “Zacchaeus, hurry and get

down, for today I must stay in your house”

Jesus saw His risk and responded to that faith. Look, any risk you are taking in the name of Jesus is never in vain. And God must surly reward those steps. When Jesus said this, a lot of rich and poor masses there began to murmur against Jesus and say that he has chosen to stay with a sinner. And Jesus responded that he has not come for the just but not unjust.

LUKE 19:7

(7)       “When they saw this, they were all muttering “He

            Went as a guest to the house of a man who is

            A sinner”

(8)       But  Zacchaeus stood up and said to the Lord,

            Look! The half of my belonging, Lord, I am

            Giving to the poor, and whatever I extorted

from anyone, I am restoring four times over”

You can see why Jesus has decided to respond to this man’s faith. Irrespective of what people were saying about him. He still made extra commitment to faith by deciding to give half of His belonging to the poor or less privileged. It takes humility to engage in such act. God cannot respond to idiosyncrasy. Not at all, rather He will respond to the truth. He knows you more than you know yourself. Change your attitude to increase your altitude with Christ. Low metal people discuss people while high minded people discuss business.

LUKE 10:19

“ For the son of man came to seek and to save what

Was lost”

This was Jesus reply to their Idiosyncrasy of murmuring against Zacchaeus. You dare not discuss who God has decided to promote. We are in the era where 419, Prostitutes and Armed robbers will finally make Heaven at last while church leaders like Pharisees and Sadducees who prosecuted Jesus will end up in the lake of fire. Shine your eyes!
