ISAIAH 15:1-END
PROVEREB 16:1-END
PROVERB 7:1-END
Whom
and what you trust in matters so much in this last days; in today’s reading the
Moabites trusted in the water of Dimon instead of trusting God. When the water
of Dimon became polluted, they began to cry for distress because their last
hope for existence is shattered. Now today, who do you trust? This year what is
your backbone for existence? Some trusted in their salary and business which
will fail them at last like the Moabites we read; others trusted in men for
existed; still the remaining relied in Nigerian Economy and budget as their
last resort. But it is better to trust
in God than all these things which cannot preserve your lives. Those things you
trust in can only sustain you for a
moment but they cannot preserve your lives. It is only God that can preserve
and protect lives of those that trust in him:
ISAIAH
15:5-9
(1)
“My heart
cries out over Moab; it fugitives have fled
Far as Zoar and Eglath, shelishiva on the ascent of
Luhith they weep as they go on the way to Horonaim
They cry out over Catastroph
(2)
For the
waters of Nimrim are desolate. The green
grass is gone and nothing green is left
(3)
That is why
they are carrying away what is left
Of their stores and their riches; They are crossing
the valley of Poplars
(4)
For the
outcry echoes throughout the territory Moab
The wailing reaches to Eglaim, the wailing reaches to
Beerelim
(5)
For the water
of Dimon are full of blood
And I have more in store for Dimon; A lion for those
Who escape, and those remaining in the land
Now,
what made the fugitive became captives to waters of Dimon? Trust, even after
they have escaped, God still did not allow them to have peace, he still
supported Dimon by sending Lion which are dangers ahead of them as punishment
for not trusting Him. So I ask once more “what is the basic foundation of your
trust? If you can answer this question correctly and scrutinize your ways. I
think your problem will have solution. If you are really a child of God, the present
economy should not detect your standard of living . Your standard for living
should be far better and above the present economic standard of Nigeria as a
nation. The children God operate heavenly economy which is foolishness to the
worldly system. Learn to give because givers never lack: and it more blessed to
give than to receive.
PROVERB
16:25
(25) “There is a way that seems right to a man
But in the end it leads to death”
The
present worldly economy is polluted with corruption. And its fugitives are
confused till date on how to straighten the corrupt wealth but are to no avail
because the polluted waters cannot be cleansed to compare the spring from brook
which is the fountain of life. You can be cleansed with the blood of Jesus Christ
to start afresh with Christ but your bread cannot be cleansed because it came
from polluted source and as a result you must have to lose it to their source. You
don’t come to kingdom of God with polluted things. It is God’s duty to cleanse
and not your duty. Trust God. And this is the root of distress to the fugitives
who are facing the dangers and consequences of their trust.
PROVERB
16:20
(20) “The one who shows insight in a matter will
find success; And happyis the one trusting
in Jehovah”
This
is the dangers and amendment of trusting. So learn to trust the lord in every situation
and your life will never be the same. Remain blessed.
