ISAIAH 5:1

A
king is the supreme in his domain. And no one takes his supremacy away from his
palace or throne. Anyone that tries it does that to the detriment of his/her
life. So the king remains the highest authority in his jurisdiction. And
because every throne is established in righteousness, there is need to respect
and restriction to the palace of a King:
PROVERB
16:12
(12) “Wicked practices are detestable to the
King
For the throne is firmly established
in
Righteousness”
Now,
in the Kingdom of God, Jesus is the king of Kings and Lord of Lords. And his
domain is Jerusalem here on earth which is the church or Mount Zion the city of
Great kings. Now righteousness remains the priority in this kingdom. Anything
short of righteousness is disdained and prohibited. And anyone practicing such
in this domain is doing that to his own risk:
PROVERB
20:8
(8) A King that sitteth in the throne of Judgment
Scattereth away
all evil with his eyes”
The
King Judges in righteousness, what does the king judge? The king judges
wickedness and violence of all sorts. So the king will always have his
priorities towards his subjects and these ranges from:
(1)
Inspired Decision
(2)
Detestable Practices
(3)
Righteous Speech
(1) INSPIRED
DECISION: when we talk of inspired decision we refer to words of advice,
rules and regulation as well as encouragement to good works. These form the
solid foundation and backbone of every leadership. A king cannot rule
effectively without seasoned words that propel action to institute justice in
his jurisdiction:
PROVERB
16:10
(10) “A divine sentence is in the lips of the
king:
His mouth transgresseth not in
Judgement”
(2) DETESTABLE
PRACTICES: Detestable practices or
Abominable acts are another priority a king guard against or prohibits in his
domain. This is because it hinders the throne from progressing. A king cannot
rule effectively when he is surrounded by wicked personalities:
PROVERB 25:5
(5) “Take away the wicked from before the
king, and
His throne shall be established in righteousness
(3) RIGHTEOUS
SPEECH: Righteous speech or truth is
what the king’s delight. A king respects and adores honesty like gold, because
this forms the bases of solid foundation for his throne. An honest lip is what
delivers the throne and the king when calamity strikes.
PROVERB
16:13
(13) “Righteous lips are delight of Kings
And they love him that speaketh
right”
So
the King cannot do without the above qualities. So let us determine to speak
the truth irrespective of the odds and positions to sustain God’s throne and
Kingdom moving.
