JEREMIAH
1:1-END
Many have ceased idolatry as a means to amaze
wealth. A lot of people today trust in what they don’t know the origin as a
means to seek protection for power and gain wealth. And as a result; the after
effect of those things they trusted out of ignorant boomerangs like wild fire,
because Devil can never give wealth for free, you must have to be sacrificing
to him, if you really want to maintain every good thing he has given you.
Some people as I am talking to you today are in
that bondage, that every year they must have to sacrifice one head in place of
their lives to keep enjoying the sorrowful riches that Devil has given them. So
what am I trying to draw your attention to? I am drawing your attention to know
that Devil’s Kingship is temporal and it comes with sorrow and untimely death.
But God’s Kingship is eternal and permanent which will continue to generation
indefinite. It happened to King David; When God promised David that he will
never lack his own heir as a King in Israel, to generation indefinite. God is
not a man that he should tell lies, has he promised it? It must surely
accomplish what he promised?
JEREMIAH 33:17
(1)
“For this is what Jehovah says: “There will never
Fail to be a man from
David’s line to sit on throne
Of the house of Israel”
So with this you can be rest assured that Kingship
is by merit, not by sacrifice. It rather comes by obedient. Saul was chosen as
a King to obey, but along the line, he deviated from obedient to embark on
sacrifice to God. He lost the kingship immediately. Look! When God rejects a
man’s service, the man has lost his position in life’s and divine affairs. Your
service to God is accepted because of your obedient, not because of 50 days and
70 days fasting and prayer. Learn to obey God by shunning every form of
Idolatry practices which ranges from adoring and appreciating men above God,
sacrificing to idols, joining secret cult for protection and power, preferring
occult power to God’s knowledge etc. These are what provoke God’s anger to act
in a capacity that one least expected that those little things can trigger
God’s jealousy to harm and reject those that oppose Him. You cannot oppose
God’s standard through disobedient and not face shame and disgrace.
On the other hand, David offended God and God
punished him severely. But God said that David is a man after his own heart,
the question is why? The answer is that David knew how to draw God’s attention;
could you imagine a king with his majestic position who nearly ran naked
leaping and dancing for God before the public of people with lower reputation.
I thought as much that day as he began to dance, God came down that day and
began to fight David’s battle to the extent he shut the womb of Michal, King
Soul’s daughter whom David intended to marry, the offense she committed was
peeping through the window to despise the King dancing for God in her heart. At
least this was a proof that God was really fighting his battle then. Now with
this act of dancing, David killed Pride and arrogance in his generation because
since the King can dance for God, everyone must emulate the King who possesses
the highest authority in the land.
Look! Pride and arrogance remains the greatest
Idolatry. It is pride and arrogance that makes people rebel as well as embarking
on sacrifices rather than obedient. So learn to obey God and humble yourself
before him and he will lift you in due season.
JEREMIAH 1:16-17
(16) “And
I will declare my judgment against them
Over
all their wickedness,
Because
they have abandoned me
And
they are making sacrificial smoke to other
Gods
And
bowing down to the works of their own hands
(17) But
you should prepare for action,
And
you must stand up and tell them everything
That
I command you.
Do
not be terrified of them, so that I do not terrify
You
before them”
Look! There is no other sacrifices recognized today
more than the sacrifice of Jesus on the cross. So your solution is in
acknowledging that one first, whatever that one sacrifice did not give you, No
other sacrifice will do so for you. Remained blessed.
