THE WEAKNESS OF THE LAW

I CORINTHIAN 15:56-58
PSALM 37: 23-40

The death and resurrection of our Lord Jesus Christ has rendered the Law ineffective because of its weakness according to:

Galatians 3:10

(10)     “All those who depend on works of law are
Under a curse for it is written in the scroll
           Of law by doing them.
(11)     Moreover, it is evident that by law that
no one is declared righteous with God
because the righteous will live by reason
faith.”

The Law has been rendered ineffective by the Holy Ghost because of weakness. So observing the law which is the commandment of God subjects us to bondage or curse of imperfection because Jesus has made perfection available through the Holy Ghost. So accepting Jesus as your Lord and personal savior gives you free visa to perfection through the Holy Ghost. This is where faith comes in; we are made righteous by our faith in that name Jesus not by our works of law.

HEBREW 10:38
“The Just shall leave by faith”

Today, we can only prevail by works of faith, not by works of law. The work of faith is commitment to prove your faith in the name Jesus and not commitment to practice self righteous through observing the commandment which makes us imperfect.

I CORINTHIAN 15:56

(56)     “The sting producing death is sin
And the power of sin is law”

This is why the Holy Ghost has come to take the place of the law, because by Holy Ghost you need not anyone to teach you what to do; because the law is already written your heart by Holy Ghost through covenant in the blood of Jesus Christ (Hebrew 12:24). It was also being written by the prophet of old.

JEREMIAH 31:31

(31)     “Look the days are coming declares Jehovah,
When I will make with the house of Israel
And the house Judah a New covenant
(32)     It will not be like the covenant I made
With their forefathers on the day I took
Hold of their hand to lead them out of
The land of Egypt. My covenant that
They broke although I was their true
Master declares the Lord”

Now from this point we can understand that righteousness is the circumcision of the heart with the word of God by the Holy Ghost and not circumcision of the body or flesh. Until your heart is circumcised by the word of God and Holy Ghost, you are not yet righteous.

JOHN 3:5
(5)       “Jesus answered: most truly I say to you
Except anyone is born of water and spirit
He cannot enter the kingdom of God”

We are not talking of physical water here; we are referring to the word of God which is the fountain of life and the spirit which is the Holy Ghost. So everyone’s heart should be ready to accept God’s word in his heart through the Holy Ghost. And until His word pierces your heart, the change you expect may not come. Now who is the righteous? The righteous is the one that His heart is circumcised by the word of God through the Holy Ghost.

PSALM 37:31

(31)     “The law of his God is in his heart, his step will not falter”

The law written in your by Holy Ghost is the current level of righteousness through the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth our savior.
