THE TRUTH ATTRACTS HIS MERCY

JEREMIAH 5

Our God is a merciful God, even when we are unfaithful; he still remains faithful to his words. Whatever God has promised you in the past. Today, he says that he will still bring those promises to pass because of his mercy to mankind through His son Jesus Christ. Now get back to your drawing board, what were those abandoned plans? Pick them up again because he said that His mercy is available to the one that acknowledges his sins and ask for mercy or forgiveness. God is truth and those that must please Him will do that in truth and in spirit .And that is why anything short of truth is not of God.

The truth you speak in the darkest moment is the Key that unlocks your blessing and shut the enemies’ doors against your destiny when the mercy of God prevails over judgment in your life.

JEREMIAH 5:1

(1)        “Roam the streets of Jerusalem, look around and take

            note, search her public squares to see whether  you

            can find a man who acts with justice; one who seeks

            to be faithful. And I will forgive her

(2)        Even if they say: As surely as the lord is alive

            They would still swear to what is false

(3)        O lord, do your eyes not look for faithfulness?

            You struck them, but it made no impact on them,

            You exterminated them, but they refused to accept

            discipline.

            They made their faces harder than rock,

            And they refused to turn around

(4)        But I said to myself surely thsee must be lowly.

            They act foolishly, for they do not know the

            ways of Jehovah”

Our God understands the ignorant of men, and that is why his mercy is always available. And He is still searching for the prudent ones that he can entrust with Kingdom business but he could not find any faithful one in the city of great Kings which is Jerusalem. Everyone acts foolishly. This is common in our present churches; can we still trust our pastors with secrets? Being a man of God, can you still entrust him with the secret of your business, marriage, career etc. without being betrayed the next seconds. The spirit of the last days has pollution of greed even to our churches that no one can be found honest with works of ministry which is executed in faith.

JEREMIAH 5:5

(5)        “I will go to the prominent man and speak with them

            For they must have taken note of the way of Jehovah

            The Judgment of their God; But they have all broken

the yoke; And torn apart the restraints.

(6)        That is why a lion of the forest attacks them

            A wolf of the desert plains keeps ravaging them;

            A leopard lie awake at their cities

            Everyone going out from them is torn to pieces for

Their transgressions are many; their acts of

unfaithfulness are numerous”

Why God did consider the prominent men to execute the task of the church instead of pastors? Because he considered them honest to themselves, look! You cannot amount to anything without being honest to yourself even as a pastor. Poverty has turned many pastors to liars; because of poverty you became blind to see the truth: when they see black; they call it white so that they can eat. But that is not the rule of the game. And this is why every genuine man of God must engage his hands in something that will yield him resources which is also genuine. The days of I am a church Pastor therefore, men of God cannot be doing business has gone. There are genuine businesses for men of God, writing Motivational books that will change lives is meaningful business for pastors, selling your preaching messages in Video CDs that will change life is also meaningful business, encouraging and counseling section for people in need of direction is also a meaningful business for pastors. Not necessarily raising fund in your ministry will solve the problem. When you continue to raise fund, your member will leave the church because they will see you as unserious person. Please as a pastor learn to give in your church rather than taking so that God will reach you because it is blessed to give than to receive. Your giving can open an avenue for continues flow of resources. Giving attract divine idea from God. And it comes as a favour from God.

I THESSALONICA 2:9-12

(9)        “Surely you remember, brothers, our labor and toil

            We were working night and day, so that we would

            not put an expensive burden on anyone  of you,

            We preached the good news of God to you

(10)      You are witnesses, God is also, of how loyal and

righteous and blameless we behaved towards

you believers.

(11)      You well know that we kept exhorting and

Consoling you and bearing witness to each

One of you, just as a father does his children

(12)      So that you will go on walking worthily of God

            who is calling you to his Kingdom and glory”

Finally, always know that you are not doing this alone, that one who has called you must expand and favour the works of your hands.

I THESSALONICA 4:11-12

(11)      “Make it your aim to live quietly and to mind you own

            Business and to work with your own hands, just as we

            Instructed you.

(12)      So that you may walk decently in the eyes of people

            Outside and not need anything”

The works of your hands serves as your identity in the Kingdom of God; it speaks volume about you to people surrounding you. If you don’t have anything that people will use to talk about you. Please fashion one as God directs you in Jesus name. Note: When you are not the subject for discussion yet, something is wrong with you. As far as there is life existing in you, people must be talking about you. Peradventure they are not talking about you that mean you are not affecting life yet, because you are stagnant. The works of your hands should be causing commotion everywhere to show you are life and not dead. Arise today and do something.
