JEREMIAH 5:1-END
ISAIAH 30:1-END
The
Plight of injustice and rebellion as well as idolatry in the land is alarming;
to the extent that God had determined to administer punishment accordingly to
the perpetrators. God said that He had concentrated to find amongst the people
of Judah and Jerusalem one who is faithful and who acts with justice but He
could not see anyone rather all of them had joined the band wagon of dishonest
gain. God said that even after striking with rod of correction as a measure to
discipline them, yet they rebelled and continue trusting in idolatry. Even the
same is applicable to the prominent ones amongst them; God said that as a
result of these injustice and corruption, He must visit their wickedness with
calamity today. God said that their errors are crying to heavens for vengeance
because it is numerous, God said that after satisfying the needs of their young
men, they still flock the houses of prostitutes as well as commit adultery by
neighing at another man’s wife. God had summoned His angel to take away their
spreading shoot for it does not belong to Jehovah. God said that the people of
Judah and Israel had been utterly treacherous with Him by denying Him and say
no calamity will befall them. God said that He is about to consume them with
His word through His chosen ones because there are already false prophet in
their midst prophesying wind to deceive them and they believe those lies. God
said that He is about to bring a nation far away whose language the house of
Israel did not know and whose speech they cannot understand to devour your
bread and harvest for these errors. God said the punishment is as a result of
abandoning Him to serve foreign gods like gods of Egypt. Also God said because
you have abandoned Him to serve foreign gods, you will serve foreigners in the
land that is not yours:
JEREMIAH
5:1-20
God
said that these errors had deprived the house of Israel and Judah their
blessings because already there are wicked men in their midst that make
merchandise of men. These wicked men are rich and powerful but deceptive
personalities who keep peering as when bird catchers stoop down. They set
deadly traps to catch men and like a cage of traps is how their houses are full
of deception. And they use such deception to catch men like birds and keep them
in perpetual bondage as well as make merchandise of them. And that is why such
men become rich and powerful as well as grown big and fat. So be wise and
beware of such men by saying no to injustice and corrupt practices which is a
license to them to act. Such men thwart justice to the fatherless so that they
may gain more success. God said that all these things He is about to avenge:
JEREMAIAH
5:21-31
Again,
God is sounding a very serious warning concerning His chosen ones who are
planning to go down to Egypt to seek protection and alliance with fowl spirit;
God said that they should desist from
such forbidden plans and acts because He had already promised to bless them.
They should not join the band wagon of injustice and corrupt practices in the
land. But if they refuse this instruction, disgrace and calamities will follow
them. But is they return, He will give them peace and rest of mind.

Finally,
God had promised to bring restoration to His own chosen ones as well as show
mercy and favor to the plight of His punished Israel and Judah. Today, God is
about to take another dimension. I see total change of direction and
destination in the land concerning one’s life and destiny. Remain blessed.
