FAVOURED FOR COMPANIONSHIP

PROVERB 18:1-END

SONGS OF SOLOMON 7:1-END

Today, God is pointing to relationships. The relationship one keeps matters because every relationship will either make one or demote and destroy one. So today, God said that He is about to favor good relationships. If you have friends far away, today is the right time to call them and ask about their welfare. You don’t wait for them to call you; you have to do that first. It shows you have good understand:

Proverb 13:15

(15) “Good understanding giveth favour:

         but the way of transgressors is hard”

Your companions still remains your last resort in the days of adversity. It happened to David; Jonathan his friend was faithful till death separated them, even when he lacks what to eat:

I SAMUEL 18:1-3

(1)  “As soon as David had finished speaking to Soul

     Jonathan and David became bound together

     In close friendship, and Jonathan began

     to love him as himself

(2) From that day, Soul kept David with him,

     He did not allow him to return to his father’s

     House

(3)And Jonathan and David made covenant

    because he loved him”

This is a strong friendship that lasted till death. Now, using this platform, who is your friend? Who do you run for help in times of need? The one that runs to you for help in times of need have trust in you; but you have to give that trust a trial to prove that the trust is real and you should do that when you find yourself in the same position of need; did such a person extends hands of help as you did to him, assuming he is in the position the meet the need you request? If yes, tick him/her good but if No, give it a second thought because love is not selfish. So the foundation of every good relationship or friendship is love out of a pure heart.

But in order not to be victims of betrayals as Jesus Christ became a victim to Judas Iscariot even with kisses. Love should be tried in every relationship.

PSALM 55:12-14

(12) For it is not an enemy who reproaches me; then

       I could bear it. Nor is it one who hates me who has

      Exalted himself against me; then I could hide from

      him

(13) “But it was you, a man my equal, my companion

         And my acquaintance

(14) We took sweet counsel together, and walked to

       The house of God in throng

So, David also had once become a victim of betrayal in a warm relationship, you are not exempted as a child of God. So shine your eyes today as you go about your duty. Just as God is about to favor good relationship, the bad ones will be punished severely, so be wise with who comes as a friend.

PROVERB 18:24

(24) “A man who has friends must himself be friendly

        But there are friends who stick closer than brother”

So, today as you extend hands of love to friend also give them trials to know if they are hypocrites.
