AVOID PRIDE; LEST YOU BE TRAPPED

PROVERB 16:1-END

PROVERB 15:1-END

There is nothing that reduces a man like pride and arrogant attitude. It is a quick road

to demotion but with proper humility and submission to authorities, amelioration is

ensured to damages caused by this attitude. Today God is warning someone to desist

from prideful and arrogant attitude that says “If not me, you would have failed or

not amount to anything” that is a big lie from the pit of hell and that why as a child

of God, God approves your boasting in him rather than in what you can do. Nobody

should take the place of God in his/her  life lest the person become a prey to men.

And you should not eat the glory of God. Why? It is dangerous, please give God His

glory and don’t eat it. Nebuchadnezzar ate the glory of God and God caused him to

become a beast and he lived in the forest with animals and ate grass for seven years

but when he came to his senses, God restored him:

DANIEL 4:30-33

(30) “The King was saying “Is this not Babylon

          The great that I myself have built for the

          Royal house by my own strength and

          Might and for the glory of my Majesty?

(31)  While the word was yet in the King’s

         mouth, a voice came down from heaven

         : “To you it is being said, O King

         Nebuchadnezzar, “The Kingdom has gone

        Away from you

(32) And from mankind you are being driven

        away. With the beast of the field your

        dwelling will be, and you will be given

        vegetation to eat just like bulls, and

        seven times will pass over you, until

       you know that the most High is Ruler

       in the Kingdom of Mankind and that he

       grants it to whomever  he wants”

(33) At that moment the word was fulfilled

        On Nebuchadnezzar. He was driven away

       From mankind ,and he began to eat vege

       -tation just like bulls and his body became

       wet with the dews of heavens, until his

       hair grew long  just like eagle’s feather

        and his nails were like bird’s claws”

Also still on pride and arrogance, Herod also ate the glory of God and the angel of

God smote him to death, he was eaten by worms. Today, who will be the next?

Please don’t ever exalt yourself above measure lest you become the victim of God’s

anger due to arrogance and pride:

ACTS 12:21-23

(21)      “On a set day, Herod clothed himself

              with Royal raiment and sat down on

              the Judgment seat and began giving

             a public address.

(22)     Then, the people who were assembled

            began shouting: “A god’s voice and not

            a man’s!

    

(23)    Instantly, the angel of Jehovah struck him,

          Because he did not give glory to God, but

          He was eaten up by worm and died”

PROVERB 16:18-19

(18) “ Pride is before a crash; and a haughty spirit

         Before stumbling.

(19) Better to be humble among the meek

       Than to share a spoil of the haughty”

Impose control in your life today and the Devils will flee from you; use a mild answer against harsh personalities and weaken arrows.

PROVERB 15:1

(15) “A mild answer turns away rage

        But a harsh word stirs up anger”
