THE CRIES OF OPPRESSION; WAYS TO BE RESCUED FROM OPPRESSION

PSALM 69:1-END

PROVERB 27:1-END

PROVERB 22:1-END                  

Today, the Lord said that the cries of the oppressed ones have come to His notice, and He will not relent to revenge their plight as well as delivers them from oppressors:

PSALM 69:1-END

Oppression is an act that emanate from wrong decisions and destination. When one leaves His jurisdiction and begins to trespass and play in another man’s office; He/she is inviting oppressors. And oppressors are men that are good in setting traps to catch fellow men that they will cage as a hunter catches birds and cage them for business and consumption. So today God is also sounding warning that one should desist from attitudes and decisions that invites oppressors to your life and affairs as stated below:

(1) MIND ASSOCIATION: There is nothing good than to have companions that dishes you out the truthful advice by Gods word. The friends you keep will determine how well and far you will do in life. This is why we should endeavor to choose those we associate with carefully; because 50% of lives’ success comes from association:

PROVERB 22:24-25

A hot temper man can become a victim of oppressors; so is the one that associates with Him. But a friend that will run to you in the days of adversity do not forsake or disdain them because they will finally make you who you supposed to be:

PROVERB 27:9-12

It is only a wise man that will look well before extending hands of association to every dick and harry. Association with good neighbors and friends are even better and secured than relations because a man’s greatest enemies are from relations

.

(2) GUARD YOUR REPUTATION: To be respected is better than silver and gold. A good name is better than World Bank account; it is better to be poor with good prestige than to smell with World Bank account. Your oppressors are attracted by your bad reputation. They will not relent to punish bad reputation because it is natural to common man:

PROVERB 22:1-5

Today, you will not be turned to laughing stock for losing your reputation.

(3) INDISCIPLINE: it is an act of foolish attitudes that project ugly image of your family background or brought up foundation to the public. It reflects negative ethics due to undisciplined behavior and habits. For example, every child has at least 50% of foolishness in his/her life but as development takes place; parents will use punishment as a corrective measure to direct them the right track as well as save their lives from wrong destination to meet oppressors in their future because oppressor must capitalize on your habits, weakness and negative attitudes as an excuse as well as gateway to penetrate your life and destiny as well as rendering you useless:

PROVERB 22:15

(4) BE YOURSELF: I have seen people trying to measure up where they don’t belong. And at the end of the day, they became victims of oppression, because the one you are trying to imitate and over estimate yourself to please will one day discover that you are artificial. You don’t give gift to Kings in order to procure their favor or buy their association; it is an abomination to God. It is also humiliating when you spend money to give kings gift but had not given your family 3 square meal. It is one of the things that invite oppressors because they will see you as a stupid man or woman. The people with such mentality will also become oppressors to others; especially subordinates because they lack common sense. God said that such people ends up becoming poor even when they are rich doing such acts:

PROVERB 22:16

          PROVERB 22:22-23

So learn to be yourself, so that God will exalt you; but when you exalt yourself, you will fail.

(5) BE SKILLFUL: Do you see a man diligent and skillful in His business; watch that man, he will end up dining with kings because oppressors cannot limit that hard working man; though they will try but they will fail. But when you become lazy about your business; they will succeed in making you their servant through oppression:

PROVERB 22:29

So, today God said that He will save His people from their plight of oppressors but they should consider those habits outlined above that is capable of inviting oppressor to jeopardize affairs; and keep away from them. As you do this today I see the lord turning your mourning into laughter. Today, the lord is about to create a permanent open door for people that reverence Him by His word. Remain blessed.
